National Drive Electric Week 2019

On Saturday, September 21, NCTCOG hosted the annual National Drive Electric Week event, in Irving, TX, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 186 electric vehicles (EVs) showed up to the event, making it yet another record-breaking year. Both EV owners and enthusiasts alike had the opportunity to learn more about EVs and be part of the rEVolution! Oncor Electric coordinated an EV road rally during the event with a cash prize and trophy! For more Drive Electric Week details, visit @nctcogtrans, as well as our website, www.driveelectricdfw.org.

As part of National Drive Electric Week, NCTCOG co-hosted an EV Workshop with Texas Public Interest Research Group (TxPIRG) at the University of Texas at Arlington that fostered great conversation between a diverse group of stakeholders from across the EV industry. The keynote panel included presentations from Oncor Electric, Chargepoint, City of Dallas, and the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance, as well as a special presentation from the executive director of Plug In America.
