Engine Off North Texas

Engine Off North Texas (EONT) is a regional initiative that focuses on reducing the impacts associated with the idling of heavy-duty vehicles. The North Central Texas Council of Governments updated and revitalized the initiative by developing new outreach and educational materials.

Truck drivers can learn about strategies to reduce unnecessary idling, idle reduction technologies, and identify areas that have local idling restriction policies or ordinances. Local governments can use EONT to develop idle reduction ordinances and enforcement strategies. Educational materials are also available upon request to inform truck drivers and residents about the impacts of idling and how to report an idling complaint.

Use Engine Off North Texas as a resource for all things idling in the north central Texas region. Visit EngineOffNorthTexas.org for more information about the initiative.
