Where does a fleet start with alternative fuels? To whom do they discuss all the steps involved? Which fuel type would work best with a given fleet?
To gain insights in the many aspects involved with the alternative fuel adoption process, we invite trucking fleets and other stakeholders to join us for our next SMARTE Webinar Series session titled Fuel Considerations/Alternatives.
Brianna Lawrence, Vice President of Policy and Programs with Gladstein, Neandross and Associates (GNA), is aware with her work with GNA that with more than 500 incentive programs available for fleets interested in adopting alternative fuel sources, this process can be intimidating. Brittany will provide an overview of programs available and how to effectively approach alternative fuel vehicle funding.
Dave Schaller, Industry Engagement Director with the North American Council on Freight Efficiency, has observed that within the current state of fuel choices for medium- and heavy-duty fleets, more than 20 varieties are on the market for adoption and use. Diesel may still be the currently prominent fuel source for these vehicle types – but electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel cells and renewable natural gas are all exponentially growing in adoption by fleets as time progresses. Dave will discuss various fuel source types, the infrastructure utilized for fuel types and the operational specifics involved.
