2021 Holiday Grease Roundup Recap

The 8th Annual Holiday Grease Roundup by Defend Your Drains North Texas has ended! The Holiday Grease Roundup was made possible through a partnership between the NCTCOG, the Wastewater and Treatment Education Roundtable, and American BioSource. Forty-one entities participated in the Roundup and over 70 locations were identified to drop off cooking oil and grease for free!

The collected cooking oil and grease will be recycled into biodiesel or biogas, which reduces landfill waste and produces a cleaner burning alternative fuel. This event is for used cooking oil and grease collection only; used motor oil should be brought to a household hazardous waste location or an automotive supply store.
