LED Lighting Retrofit Funding Opportunities for Public Schools

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA)’s State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) has released two funding opportunities for K-12 Independent School Districts (ISDs). Details are as follows:

• Public School Exterior LED Lighting Retrofits

  • Provides reimbursable grants to assist public K-12 ISDs to replace existing lighting with LED lighting.

  • Applicants will provide 20% of the awarded application amount; the maximum reimbursable grant is $50,000.

• Public School LED Lighting Retrofits in Gymnasiums, Multipurpose Rooms and/or Interior Hallways

  • Provides reimbursable grant for K-12 ISDs to replace lighting equipment with LED lighting.

  • Applicants will provide 20% of the awarded application amount; the maximum reimbursable grant is $75,000
