2021 Holiday Grease Roundup

Instead of washing your grease down the drain, participate in the Holiday Grease Roundup and recycle it for free! The 2021 Holiday Grease Roundup kicks off Monday, November 22, and ends Monday, January 10.

Dozens of north Texas municipalities have partnered with the North Central Texas Council of Governments, the Wastewater and Treatment Education Roundtable, and American BioSource to help protect sewer systems and the environment by either providing additional drop-off locations for grease or highlighting their existing grease recycling services.

The collected cooking oil and grease will be recycled into biodiesel or biogas, which reduces landfill waste and produces a cleaner alternative fuel. This is for used cooking oil and grease collection only; used motor oil should be brought to a household hazardous waste location or an automotive supply store.
