Texas Volkswagen Grant Funding for Local Freight and Port Drayage Vehicles

The Texas Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Program (TxVEMP) continues to accept applications under the third round of funding for projects to replace or repower local freight and port drayage vehicles.

Approximately $11 million in funding has been allocated to public and private-sector entities within the Dallas-Fort Worth priority area, including the counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise. For example, a company seeking to replace older diesel delivery trucks with newer, more fuel-efficient ones are eligible to apply for funding under this grant program.

Of the $11 million in available funding, $2.3 million has already been requested. Grant funding is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. For specific questions regarding TxVEMP, please visit the TxVEMP website or email VWsettle@tceq.texas.gov.
