Mobility 2045

Work continues on Mobility 2045, the next long-range transportation plan for the Dallas-Fort Worth region. NCTCOG staff have drafted preliminary recommendations for bus and train lines, highways, and other major roads, which they will present at public meetings on Jan. 9 in Carrollton, Jan. 10 in Arlington, and Jan. 16 in Fort Worth. Planners are seeking input from the public, local governments, and transportation partners. For details about the meetings, visit www.nctcog.org/input.

Mobility 2045 will define a vision for the region’s transportation system, guide spending of federal and state transportation funds, and address air quality and quality of life issues. The plan outlines how roadways, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities will work together to keep North Texans moving as the region continues to grow. Formal draft recommendations are expected to be available in spring 2018, and RTC action is expected in summer 2018. Learn more: www.nctcog.org/mobility2045.
