

Happy Galentine’s/Guyentine’s Day!
February has arrived, which means love is in the air as Valentine’s Day approaches. During this time of year, many gifts are exchanged, cards are bought, chocolates are eaten and flowers are given. Yet, after a “Valentine’s Day” episode of Parks and Recreation aired in February 2010, in which the term Galentine’s Day was coined, commercially, Valentine’s Day started to become a little less about spending time with a significant other and more about spending time with your gal


February Public Meetings
Learn about transportation and air quality in the region to help set priorities for the future. The Regional Transportation Council and North Central Texas Council of Governments are seeking input at 2:30 pm February 5 in Arlington, 6:00 pm February 7 in Haltom City and 6:00 pm February 13 in Richardson. The Arlington meeting will be livestreamed, and a video recording will be available online at www.nctcog.org/input.


Make Your Voice Heard on Volkswagen!
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is now accepting public comments pertaining to the use of $209 million that was made available as part of the Volkswagen Settlement. These funds can be used in a variety of projects that aim to replace or repower diesel vehicles or equipment throughout Texas.
