TERP Rebate Grant Program is Open

The Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) through its Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP), has announced the re-opening of the Rebate Grants Program. The grants are available for diesel on-road and select non-road replacement and repower projects, and are on a first come first serve basis. In addition, part of the funds will be set aside for applications from entities that qualify as a Small Business under the TERP Guidelines. Small businesses are encouraged to apply. Propane Funding Opportunities

Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) is offering incentives for the purchase of new, factory-direct propane-powered engine and/or aftermarket conversions to propane. Incentives will be available for the incremental cost between gas/diesel vehicles and a LPG vehicle up to $7,500. There is a $30,000 perpetual lifetime cap per fleet. Targeting Diesel-Generated Pollution: Request for Information

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking information to identify potential diesel emissions reduction projects as well as sites, companies or agencies operating diesel-powered vehicles or equipment involved in disproportionate idling activity in the North Texas region. This information will help NCTCOG target air pollution from older on-road, non-road, and/or off-road diesel vehicles or equipment through outreach and education, and possibly incentives for replacement or repower of diesel vehicles or equipment. NCTCOG Sponsoring Car Care Clinics in April

NCTCOG is partnering with local automotive repair shops to sponsor Car Care Clinics throughout April 2017 to help North Texas drivers whose vehicles have the check engine light illuminated. A vehicle’s check engine light turns on when there may be an issue that could negatively impact its emissions. These free clinics will provide drivers with an opportunity to talk to a technician about their vehicle’s issues. Fleets for the Future: Regional Alternative Fuel Vehicle Procurement Kick-Off

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is looking for fleet representatives and fleet procurement staff to participate in a new initiative, Fleets for the Future. With a focus on local public fleets, NCTCOG plans to open a regional cooperative procurement of alternative fuel vehicles. NCTCOG hopes to increase regional alte rnative fuel deployment by coordinating the procurement of select vehicles and infrastructure to obtain volume discounts that fleets cannot access individually.
