For the second year, North Texans answered a call to take action for clean air between 7 am and 7 pm on July 7. Participation increased compared to 2010, as did commitments to ride mass transit, bike or walk and work from home.
New for 2011, the North Texas Clean Air Coalition, with support from event partners including Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities, transit agencies and the North Texas chapter of the US Green Building Council, hosted a free Clean Air Action Day luncheon and alternative fuels expo at the Trinity Railway Express CentrePort/DFW Airport Station.
Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities coordinated the panel discussion moderated by David Schechter, Senior Reporter, WFAA-TV.
The panel included representatives from the National Biodiesel Board, Propane Education Research Council, Oncor Electric Delivery, Renewable Fuels Association and Texas General Land Office.
Tell and show us more about what you did July 7 and why clean air is important. Please consider sending comments or uploading a photo or video about your commitment or 7.7.7.7 experience.

Sustain Momentum From 7.7 — Continue Choosing Clean Air
Hopefully 7.7 was just the start. Increasing the number and frequency of clean air choices each of us incorporates in day-to-day activities will ensure continued air quality improvement.
